Three Year LL.B. Admission

LL.B. - Three Year Degree is a Professional Law Degree Program. The course is recognized by the U.G.C. and the Bar Council of India for imparting legal education

Intake : 60
Duration : 3 Years (Full Time)
Criteria for Admission : Strictly on the basis of merit & on CET.
Medium of Instruction : English

College Timings

Class Attendance

  • Attendance is compulsory. The student is required to attend college regularly and punctually. She is liable to disciplinary action if found habitually late or irregular.
  • No student is allowed to be absent without obtaining prior permission of the college authority. In case of sickness, an application for her absence will have to be submitted immediately along with medical certificate and necessary supporting documents.
  • The minimum attendance required to be eligible to appear in the examination for each paper, shall be 75% of all class lectures. Attendance for Theory and Practical is taken separately.
  • In case a student is short of attendance due to illness, participation in sport, extracurricular activities etc. then the following rules shall apply:
    • Shortage up to 10% shall be condoned by the Law School
    • Shortage up to 25% can be condoned by the Vice-Chancellor.
  • Attendance for PRACTICALS (100 marks paper) is COMPULSORY to complete the Semester

The program is a full time program and the student should be willing to participate in the various extension programs and activities like Seminars, Moot Courts, Legal Aid activities etc. and attend Court, as and when required. The Class Timings will be notified at the commencement of each Semester.

Fees

Fees for the Three Year Degree Course in our Law School shall be, as approved by the SNDT University. Fees in full, for each year are payable by Demand Draft to “Smt. K. G. Shah Law School” at the time of admission of the students.

Besides the above fees, additional fees may be required to be paid towards value added courses like Personality Development, Foreign Language, Yoga, Net Surfing etc. Study Tour, each year. Need based courses are introduced and fees may be charged accordingly. The additional fee is payable by DD to ‘Smt. K. G. Shah Law School’. Please note that the fee schedule is subject to change.

Freeship

The government grants freeships for SC/ST/OBC candidates. Forms for freeships are available in the office and must be submitted along with necessary documents like Caste Certificate, etc. The college will submit these forms to Social Welfare Office, Chembur. The freeship will not be applicable, if the student does not apply online on the government portal in the time frame. The student should submit to the Admin. Office the print out with all relevant documents copies.

Convocation Fees

On passing all Semesters successfully, a student will receive her Degree either at the Convocation Ceremony from the University or within a month from the College.

Caution Money

The amount of caution money paid at the time of admission will be refunded to the student on application. The same is should be claimed within a period of three months from the date that the student leaves the institution. If the amount is not claimed within the prescribed period, the amount will be forfeited.

C.E.T. Admission process

From 2016-17, Maharashtra State government has introduced the Common Entrance Test (C.E.T. ) that is centralized admissions conducted by them. The official website for logging on is llb5.mhpravesh.in and llb3.mhpravesh.in

The C.E.T. admission process starts around March. Regular schooling up to Std.10th for 5 years LL.B. and Std.10+2 for 3 years LL.B. is essential. The candidates have to comply with the C.E.T. rules and regulations, as displayed on the government portal from time to time. No admission will be given to any student, who has not appeared for C.E.T. and followed the due process.
The following C.E.T. documents will be required after being allotted to our college:
  • C.E.T. Hall ticket
  • C.E.T. Score card
  • Provisional letter of Admission
  • Application form
  • Option form

Refunds to candidates who have selected Floating option, will be given once the entire C.E.T. process is finally completed.
Once the student opts to take admission in our College, S.N.D.T Women’s University, Mumbai, and Rules & Regulations of our College will apply.
